Update October 2026

https://www.attraplaballe.fr/

Programmes rolled out in Décines-Charpieu and Saint-Laurent-du-Var are currently enjoying a particularly positive momentum. Results observed and exchanges between schools are generating new requests: teaching staff are recommending the scheme to one another, sharing their experiences and asking Attrap’la Balle and Terre d’Impact to support new groups.

From October 2026, “Attrap’la Balle” will enter a new phase with the launch of a national roll-out project, in partnership with the National Sports Agency and in collaboration with the French ministries responsible for Sport, Disability and National Education. The aim is to transform successful local initiatives into a structured, measurable and sustainable scheme capable of gradually supporting thousands of young people with intellectual, mental or cognitive disabilities across the whole of the country.

This national project aims to develop modules tailored to ULIS (Unité localisée pour l'inclusion scolaire - Localised Units for Inclusive Education), medical and social care facilities and clubs; to train and support staff; to consolidate teaching and assessment tools; and to collate results at regional and national level.

The challenge, therefore, is no longer simply to increase the number of sessions, but to develop a genuine national framework for inclusion through sport.
