Summary of activities 2025 BRIEF HISTORY OF THE TENNIS SCHOOL IC Chile was founded in 2014 and since then it has 50 National Members, 9 National Honorary Members and 11 International Honorary Members. From the beginning of the organization in Chile, it was agreed to create a Tennis School for low-income children following the ICP guidelines, which was being carried out at the “Santa Rosa de Lo Barnechea” Parish School. Since its creation until today, more than 650 boys and girls between 8 and 12 years old have passed through this school, managing to provide basic tennis technical tools for the game and, more importantly, values for life, including perseverance, setting high goals and teching the way to achieving them... and the importance of “fair play”. We had 49 students during year 2025, from Basic Grades 1 to 8. It was a beautiful and nice group of underprivileged children. During the year we managed to get the children closer to the basic knowledge of tennis, seeking to reach a good level in the different skills of the game, such as coordination, balance and concentration, and managing to maintain motivation and promoting friendship, “fair play” and a healthy standard of competition. From a technical point of view, the children learned to move on the court and knew basic shots such as the forehand, backhand and smash. The students were divided into two groups two days of the week (wednesdays and fridays), according to their ages. The classes were taught by Professor MATÍAS VALENZUELA, with two IC member assisting him each day, EDUARDO MORAGA and PEDRO RAMÍREZ. They all 3 did an excellent job! We hope to do do some new things this new year (2026): -To get the NATIONAL TENNIS FEDERATION and City County of LO BARNECHEA sponsorhip. -To try to have a couple of boys and girls in a tournament and -To invite the kids and coach at least to one official activity of IC CHILE.
