Vosloorus programme recommences In terms of the Government regulations, coaches can now coach groups of eight pupils at a time having initially stated that only groups of four could be accommodated. So at least we can now have two courts being utilized at any one time. There has been a roster situation implemented after first having canvassed those children who wanted to return to the program. The numbers are small but bear in mind we are still in the grip of winter and add to that a cold front swept across this region over the past few days. Tennis SA have allowed mini tournaments to take place in September but only allowing children from within that region to participate and no travel to other regions within the Province is allowed. We will be supporting the event to be held by Gauteng East Tennis Association over the first two weekends in September and then there will be a smaller event for non-tournament players on 24 September when we will be able to send around 8 players to play. This is an opportunity for us to enter those who have not had any or very little tournament experience to gain an insight into tournament play. Kenton on Sea development program will recommence in early September so shortly we will have both our programmes up and running. It has been a long time with the coaches not being able to earn a living wage and just as importantly, for the children to have the benefit of the experience and exercise associated with these two programmes.
