Originally in conjunction with the South African Tennis Association, the project supports 80 children from 4 schools with tennis coaching, tournament experience and life skills in a safe environment. Over 200 children have been taught to date.


The small coastal town of Kenton-on-Sea (population of just over 5000) and neighbouring Township, Ekuphumleni (population around 3600) are to be found on the Sunshine Coast, in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. Here the IC’s charitable programme has coached over 30 children to date, teaching them tennis and life skills in an environment rife with unemployment, drugs and alcohol.


In keeping with their aim of organizing fun tournaments, Gauteng East held the second such day this year on the Public Holiday of 1 May. This was the Gauteng East Wilson Doubles played on a round robin basis with play offs at the end to determine final positions.
